Commissioner Robert Scott announced January 26th during a speech at the Texas Association of School Administrators’ Midwinter Conference in Austin that the TAKS test is being replaced. When pitcher Cody Dickson gets in a jam, he knows to do only one thing: throw his hardest. “I fight to get out of it, throw my hardest and do my best to hit my spots,” Dickson said. And he needed every bit of that Tuesday night as he led the Jags past cross-town rival Mansfield 5-1.
